"Caught Up In The Rapture" was one of the successful tracks from "Rapture", the second album by the American vocalist Anita Baker. It was released in 1986, and became her breakout album, selling over 8 million copies worldwide (5 million in the U.S. alone) and earning her two Grammy Awards. In 1989, "Rapture" was ranked #36 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 greatest albums of the 1980s. Anita Baker (born January 26, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Detroit, Michigan) is an American R&B/soul/jazz singer-songwriter. To date, Baker has won eight Grammy Awards, and has four platinum albums and two gold albums to her credit.
