from his album 'Mountain Dance' originally released in 1980, Dave Grusin marvels at playing piano, more so this truly smooth jazz tune.

Dave Grusin is a true legend in jazz as well as smooth jazz from the early 80's. Along with other legends like David Benoit, Joe Sample, Grover Washington, Eric Marienthal, Bob James... these were the guys who in reality started a new wave of jazz known 2day as smooth jazz 'n contemporary jazz.

Grusin was born in Colorado, USA in 1934. He is a composer, arranger and pianist of the 1st degree. He studied music at the University of Colorado. The first track he ever produced was in 1962; called 'Subways Are For Sleeping'.

Grusin composed film scores, including Divorce American Style, Three Days of the Condor, The Graduate, Tootsie, The Goonies, Tequila Sunrise, Hope Floats, The Firm, Random Hearts (our favorite) and much more..

From 2000 through 2011, Grusin's concentrated on composing classical jazz music, and collaborated with, among others, guitarist, Lee Ritenour.

Wishing you peaceful jazzy moments...
